Today was honestly one of the most amazing days of Shad so far. After sleeping in past the usual morning jog some of us at Waterloo have organized, we all got some breakfast and got ready for the bus ride to the Chicopee Ski and Summer Resort. The vertical playground there offered us a variety of challenges and tasks that forced us to work as a team and demonstrate our Shad spirit. Dying for food we managed to make it back just in time for lunch. On a full stomach we were ready to face the project time that was to take up the most part of our afternoon. As tired as we were, we did manage to get some productive work done towards our design project. We then met in the Great Hall for an engaging speech from Irene Healey on applying arts towards medicine. We were interested in picking up on new concepts we hadn’t thought of before. After dinner we got together for a dance lesson where all of us inexperienced dancers, (well at least I know I'm extremely inexperienced when it comes to dance) learned how to swing. Surprisingly enough, I think the dancing was even more tiring than our morning adventure. At least we all managed to laugh, whether it was at each other or not is a very different question. As the night starts to fall and my eyelids grow heavier than they should, I can honestly say that today was exhausting, but still a great memory for the books!
