This was a unique experience for me as I had never attended a Catholic Church before and it was an amazing experience, one I would most certainly repeat. In total, there were 7 of us Shads that attended church this morning, only one of us being Catholic.
One of the Olympiades challenges had been to come up with a dance to your group's specific Michael Jackson song. The dances were rather amusing as most of the groups put theirs together over lunch! After that hilarity, came a pie eating contest! To have watched 6 boys try to eat a half frozen pie as fast as they can had been a very memorable and hilarious experience!
Once we were done our Olympiad challenges, we moved on to the very special activity of the day--- THE FIFA WORLD CUP!!!! We all gathered in a café on campus, with chips and snacks in hand, and watched the game that only comes once every four years! The screaming and yelling didn’t help the calls at all, but made the game more fun. Being Shads, most of us got very into the game very quickly, and we began to get very loud very fast. Oh it was so much fun! Cheering with and against my fellow Shads gave us some memories that will last for a very long time. Or at least until the next FIFA!
After the FIFA Cup we all worked on our projects, as the advancement presentations are tomorrow. All in all it was a wonderful day. I can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!
